In 2008 Vietserve won an international tender to supply a complete concrete cooling system for the Dong Nai 3 dam building project. The dam design called for RCC concrete and therefore concrete cooling by ice was the preferred method.

Vietserve supplied 02 Northstar 90CS icemakers and a Northstar LMR2900 modular ice rake system complete with reversing screw conveyor systems. The refrigeration system used the Vilter VSS single screw compressor and Vilter's reciprocating high stage compressor. Additional items included evaporative condenser, water chiller and pumps.

All installation was managed by Vietserve experts and the system was commissioned in 2008 and has been working without stoppages since commissioning.
